Steph's Glass is Half Full

Optimistic (and often pessimistic) raves and rants about the many things that can go wrong with an old house, cats who leave me hairballs each day, a job I love but get burned out with and my wonderful husband who I at times, want to hiss at. Also included are my yays and nays about my travels into the world when performing necessary tasks such as grocery shopping, being thrown together with complete strangers, thrown together with strangers and their strangeness.

Marty is home

Yay! Marty is home from Dillingham AK. His flight was a half hour late. The plane was delayed in Anchorage to let an ill passenger off. At Sea-Tac airport in Seattle, the airline "lost" the baggage of about twenty people. After waiting 90 minutes watching the carousel and speaking to the zombies at the Lost Baggage counter who never looked directly at any person and always kept their eyes averted, Marty's bags finally showed up.

As we left the area with bags in tow, the other passengers watched us go with envious looks and a sigh of relief that seemed to say, "that must mean my bags are coming very soon".

Most of the cats were very happy to see Marty again. A few, like little shy Tuffy who loves for me to rub her all over but is afraid of Marty, watched from around corners. Tuffy eventually came out to sit and stare at Marty on alert to run off if he moved. Funny little Tuffy.
That's her lying on the floor relaxed in her Tuffy way while Marty was gone.
