Steph's Glass is Half Full

Optimistic (and often pessimistic) raves and rants about the many things that can go wrong with an old house, cats who leave me hairballs each day, a job I love but get burned out with and my wonderful husband who I at times, want to hiss at. Also included are my yays and nays about my travels into the world when performing necessary tasks such as grocery shopping, being thrown together with complete strangers, thrown together with strangers and their strangeness.

A Great Sunday and a Frustrating Saturday

Today was a bit chilly outside, but the sun showed its face for much of the afternoon along with the frequent breezes from that felt like the North Pole. Marty cut the grass and I washed my car which hadn't been washed since last September. Wow, my car looks pretty good when it's clean.

Saturday was busy at the clinic. All of us stayed cheerful taking things as they came which included a caesarian surgery on a boxer, a german shepherd who required four of us for a simple nail trim, nut case clients all day long. The stress arrived after the clinic closed during the Vet. Asst. meeting.

While I went through the agenda Dora sat there as if everything I said did not apply to her. Plus her seven year old daughter interrupted us. Most of the agenda items were spoken of with "all of us" terms but were actually things that only Dora is remiss in.

Dora will do as she usually does but can no longer give excuses of "I wasn't told" because the Asst. meeting documented that she was told.

Dora is a person who believes she is right no matter what, doesn't take instruction well, holier than thou, blames others for her mistakes and oversights, friendly only if it will benefit her or to put on a false front but still does things her way.

To give you an idea of Dora...the clinic's towel supply has been dwindling at a rapid rate, so much that we now rely on a fresh laundry load to give us enough towels. The thought among us is that Dora is throwing the towels away so she won't have to wash them. No one is appalled or shocked by that thought.
