Steph's Glass is Half Full

Optimistic (and often pessimistic) raves and rants about the many things that can go wrong with an old house, cats who leave me hairballs each day, a job I love but get burned out with and my wonderful husband who I at times, want to hiss at. Also included are my yays and nays about my travels into the world when performing necessary tasks such as grocery shopping, being thrown together with complete strangers, thrown together with strangers and their strangeness.

This is Junior, an orange tabby at my kitten rescue organization.

This is Whopper, a buff colored tabby, Junior's brother. Can you tell them apart?

They were neutered today. Dora was working. Did anything go wrong? Dora was working.

Whopper was first and had his quick surgery with no problems. Dora put him in his kennel afterwards. An hour later, the Technician asked Dora to get the other cat for his neuter. She brought Whopper and he was given his anesthetic injection. It wasn't until the Tech. went to prep his testicles when they realized it was the wrong cat.

Whopper received a double dose of anesthetic and thankfully is okay because the doses were given a hour apart. Dora takes no responsibility for her mistake. As usual. Fridays are hectic busy days and it doesn't help when Dora has her head up her butt or just doesn't care about the patients.

On a happier note, today was our staff meeting with a 15 minute sales pitch for insurance by Dora's husband. That is not the happy part. What is good is that I didn't attend his spiel and my Office Manager had no problem with that.
