Multi-talented

Driving home from work today (on the freeway slightly speeding at 64mph), I took a gulp of my cold coffee and it went down the wrong pipe. The coughing and choking started instantly and then the coffee tried to escape the trachea through the sinus cavity and out the nostrils. My eyes were filled with tears as happens when you're choking and I had one hand over my mouth to prevent spewing the coffee and my recently eaten lunch all over myself and the car interior while the coffee leaked from my nose.

Much to my relief, my body finally got control of the coughing and choking. But it then betrayed me with a sneezing fit caused by the liquid in my nose. Not good when you're on the freeway in heavy traffic, but I survived...didn't swerve, didn't cause any horn honking. All the other drivers were oblivious to my plight.

I can choke, gag, cry, sneeze while driving a vehicle without causing any injury. Multi-talented for sure, but I doubt that would qualify as a legitimate talent for the Miss America pageant. Oh well, I'll pass on the tiara and thank my lucky stars, moon, etc. that I arrived home safe and didn't do harm to anyone else.

After all that, I sat down to study and took the last test of Pharmacology in my Vet. Technician course. Marty owes me a McDonald's Happy Meal...yep, I aced the test. 100%. WOOHOO!!!!

Unfortunately, after taking the test, my brain went on vacation. If you ask me what element binds oxygen in red blood cells, I can't tell you even though I knew the answer just four hours ago. Funny how I remember the question but not the answer.
