Steph's Glass is Half Full

Optimistic (and often pessimistic) raves and rants about the many things that can go wrong with an old house, cats who leave me hairballs each day, a job I love but get burned out with and my wonderful husband who I at times, want to hiss at. Also included are my yays and nays about my travels into the world when performing necessary tasks such as grocery shopping, being thrown together with complete strangers, thrown together with strangers and their strangeness.

Spring and Matthew Sox

Today was the first day of Spring and according to my horoscope (something I place little value on since a two star day usually is pretty darn decent), I was given a four star day. The day was definitely worthy of four stars.

Matthew Sox has been found! Actually Matthew rescued himself by being courageous enough (or hungry enough) to seek out the food left in the garage with the door cracked open just enough for a cat to get in. Matthew's adopted sisters were making such a fuss with their meowing before bed that the new owner decided to check the garage and there was Matthew.

It was not a simple scoop up and take inside. Matthew never did things the easy way. He hid and they had to spend a few hours searching for him. But he is safe inside now. Whew! His three days and nights of being outside didn't do any damage other than make him leery of the front door. He has no wounds or scratches, is not dehydrated, no weight loss.

I was so worried about Matthew that I forgot to eat Tuesday. Food is not a priority for me on normal days, definitely not a thought on stressful days. Marty will be very angry that I didn't eat, he worries about me. He's a wonderful husband who reminds me to take care of myself. I will sleep well tonight knowing Matthew Sox is safe again.
