Steph's Glass is Half Full

Optimistic (and often pessimistic) raves and rants about the many things that can go wrong with an old house, cats who leave me hairballs each day, a job I love but get burned out with and my wonderful husband who I at times, want to hiss at. Also included are my yays and nays about my travels into the world when performing necessary tasks such as grocery shopping, being thrown together with complete strangers, thrown together with strangers and their strangeness.

Pink Panties

When I answered the ringing phone this evening, I heard noise in the background like a central call area and the caller saying to someone else, "She had on pink panties and looked really good. Yum."

I said another hello in a louder firmer voice. The caller said, "Is this Stephanie?" I'm slightly miffed and replied in my angry voice, "Who are you and why are you calling?"

Turned out to be an agent with Money Tree asking if I was interested in refinancing my home through their company. My response was, "I answer the phone and hear you talking about someone looking good in pink panties and you want me to do business with your company?.What planet is your home base?"

He said, "We're a very reputable company. We can help you refinace your mortgage and your privacy is ensured."

My reply..."Your conversation about pink panties told me how your company ensures privacy. Take our name off your list and do not call again."

During his utterances of "but, but ,but", I hung up.

I don't know what is worse...a call where a recording says "please hold until a representative is available" or a call where you say hello multiple times before someone finally answers or a call like tonight where I answer and have to listen to a conversation about panties before the caller acknowledges that I have answered the phone.

Money Tree, questionable employees there, like the guy who continues his conversation about pink panties even after the person he called said hello. A pervert who gets off on trying to shock people or a lazy employee who doesn't pay attention to what he is doing...doesn't matter. Money Tree will never get any business from me because of that employee. Would you trust your private financial information with the guy who called me tonight?

My friends and coworkers will be told what happened and hey, it's now posted on the Web.
