Steph's Glass is Half Full

Optimistic (and often pessimistic) raves and rants about the many things that can go wrong with an old house, cats who leave me hairballs each day, a job I love but get burned out with and my wonderful husband who I at times, want to hiss at. Also included are my yays and nays about my travels into the world when performing necessary tasks such as grocery shopping, being thrown together with complete strangers, thrown together with strangers and their strangeness.

A New Family Addition

This is the newest addition to our family, Kurt Kenneth Russell Niehaus. Born to my sis-in-law Jayne and hubby Jeff on January 2.

A miracle baby in some ways. Jeff and Jayne had been trying to have a baby for some time with no luck and underwent the fertility treatments. Yay when it worked and Jayne was pregnant. The ninth month they learned little Kurt was breech and hoped for his turning. No such luck, so the c-section.

Baby Kurt and mother Jayne are doing great.

With the parents he has, baby Kurt will be raised in a way many children today are lacking. He will receive a strong sense of values and ethics, he will know compassion and understanding. He will know tolerance and patience and will be raised by parents who love each other as life long soulmates. So many children today lack such a loving home.

Baby Kurt will learn about Pavlov's dogs, how to hold kitties, how to care for people who are ill or diseased. He will learn how love and patience conquers what seems impossible.

His birth enhances our planet and our lives.

    You make me cry!

I mean, I'm a little hormonal and all, but still.

He's going to love coming to your house and being with the kitties!
