Steph's Glass is Half Full

Optimistic (and often pessimistic) raves and rants about the many things that can go wrong with an old house, cats who leave me hairballs each day, a job I love but get burned out with and my wonderful husband who I at times, want to hiss at. Also included are my yays and nays about my travels into the world when performing necessary tasks such as grocery shopping, being thrown together with complete strangers, thrown together with strangers and their strangeness.

Holiday Spirit

Marty and I had a delicious spaghetti dinner at Casa Mia in Puyallup and I mentioned it would be nice to have a wreath hanging on the inside of the front door for the holiday pine scent. The aroma of fresh pine has been missing from our holiday time for five years, ever since a Kitty Haven foster kitten ingested a pine needle from our tree and had four inches of intestine removed. (Yeah, we adopted that kitten named Pisanti).

We went to Tacoma Boys to look for a wreath. It's a local fresh vegetable/fruit market, also a butcher shop and sort of plant nursery open 24/7 365 days a year. We did not get a wreath, we came home with a tree.

This is our bare tree. It will stay bare until my day off Tuesday and will give the cats time to get used to having a real tree in their house. I'll post a picture after decoration.
