Steph's Glass is Half Full

Optimistic (and often pessimistic) raves and rants about the many things that can go wrong with an old house, cats who leave me hairballs each day, a job I love but get burned out with and my wonderful husband who I at times, want to hiss at. Also included are my yays and nays about my travels into the world when performing necessary tasks such as grocery shopping, being thrown together with complete strangers, thrown together with strangers and their strangeness.

The Boat

I had a nice visit with my oldest brother on Wednesday when he delivered Marty's boat. My brother builds boats as a hobby and has been working on this one for Marty since January.

It is called a "SwampScott" dory, a sail/rowboat. This one is 14 ft. long. Marty still has some work to do on it such as adding oarlocks and hardware for the sail and rudder.

This is the boat and the truck that will pull its trailer. Yep, still have to get the trailer.

Marty has wanted a boat for years, just a simple one where he can spend the day on the water sailing, fishing or just daydreaming. This one fits exactly what he wanted.
