Steph's Glass is Half Full

Optimistic (and often pessimistic) raves and rants about the many things that can go wrong with an old house, cats who leave me hairballs each day, a job I love but get burned out with and my wonderful husband who I at times, want to hiss at. Also included are my yays and nays about my travels into the world when performing necessary tasks such as grocery shopping, being thrown together with complete strangers, thrown together with strangers and their strangeness.

Oh what sweet sleep

Tuesday night I worked until 7:30PM, was supposed to be off at 6PM. I went to bed before midnight and slept a solid sleep until 11AM the following morning. Must have been more tired than I thought with all the extra hours and days of work.

Wednesday night in bed at 1am and slept again until 11am. I can't believe I slept so long. I can't believe the cats let me sleep in.

Had lazy days on my time away from work. Did the daily cat care, completed six crossword puzzles and did arts/crafts.

My frenzy of the day was when Pandora, a Kitty Haven cat fostering here, ran outside and leaped away each time I got close enough to grab her. It took about ten minutes before I was able to snatch her up. Pandora's past owner said she was never outdoors..yeah, right. Pandora was perfectly comfortable outside, meaning she was outside quite a bit before. And now Pandora has burrs and twigs stuck in her fur and she isn't the most amendable kitty for brushing.

Yikes, I have a real chore to do.

Half the cats here are due for their annual vaccine. With Marty away in Alaska, it is going to be a circus for me giving the vaccines. I'll keep the camera handy to get shots of the offended expressions of the cats.
