Steph's Glass is Half Full

Optimistic (and often pessimistic) raves and rants about the many things that can go wrong with an old house, cats who leave me hairballs each day, a job I love but get burned out with and my wonderful husband who I at times, want to hiss at. Also included are my yays and nays about my travels into the world when performing necessary tasks such as grocery shopping, being thrown together with complete strangers, thrown together with strangers and their strangeness.

Early Mornings Are Not My Thing

Thursday I have to get up by 7AM to be at my Mom's in Seattle by 10:30. I am not a morning person. I spent 14 years on graveyard shift at the USPostal Service and even now, nine years after leaving that god awful stressful place of employment (the term "going postal" is so true), my body still insists on maintaining the graveyard hours.

Mom's aol connection has been glitching, I am going to attempt a fix. Mom and Dad are taking me shopping at Uwajimaya, the wonderful Asian store that has everything I could ever want from Japan food wise, plus Japanese tableware, kimonos, everything. I love that store.

They are also taking me to lunch, my choice of where to go. My choice will be a Chinese restaurant that serves Dim Sum. There are no Chinese restaurants in Tacoma that have Dim Sum. Tacoma restaurants are losing a lot of money; Dim Sum is very popular. Uwajimaya is located in the International District of Seattle, lots of chinese restaurants that serve Dim Sum.

I will be busy tomorrow with errands, but will have a great lunch.

Tipper, my neighbor's cat says where's my tea and Dim Sum?
