Steph's Glass is Half Full

Optimistic (and often pessimistic) raves and rants about the many things that can go wrong with an old house, cats who leave me hairballs each day, a job I love but get burned out with and my wonderful husband who I at times, want to hiss at. Also included are my yays and nays about my travels into the world when performing necessary tasks such as grocery shopping, being thrown together with complete strangers, thrown together with strangers and their strangeness.

Relief and Rest

Marty is home from Alaska. YAY! YAY! YAY! His job there is done and he does not have to go back. While it was a great experience for him to spend so much time in another state in such a secluded area, I am so glad his work contract is over. He is also very glad to be home.

Things at home can get back to normal now. I won't be so tired with my long work hours since Marty is here to help with the home responsibilties and cat care.

I had the day off today. Slept in until 10AM., did cat care and then settled in with a cup of coffee and the morning newspaper. Did my morning crossword puzzle, which turned into several more and finally took a shower at 3PM to "wake me up". I had no commitments other than meeting Marty at the airport at 5PM, so why not have a very lazy day.

Sleeping in until 10:00 was such bliss. And my lazy day, I was in the bliss state.

I am so happy Marty is home!
