Yay! I Had a Nap!
This is Riley, my sweet boy. He's a drooler. Obviously so am I.
Last week I clocked in almost 20 hours of overtime and was really looking forward to sleeping in Sunday. I did sleep in, but felt like the day was wasted because I didn't get moving until 2PM and felt like much of the day was over. Marty and I did go to Meeker Day's in Puyallup, an annual street fair with arts and crafts vendors. I ate grilled corn on the cob (not so sweet this time of year) and bbq chicken. Well, some of the chicken...it was really spicy and had a lingering bite that burned the lips and tongue. I passed over my usual street fair corn dog and had lumpia instead that was surprisingly delicious, tasting just like homemade instead of food fried in bulk amounts and kept warm under the hot lamp.
I bought a present for my friend Cindi, and for myself I got another banner, a cat hanging upside down with a bird's nest in his paws. It has already replaced the winter banner hanging on the flag post on the front porch pillar.
Unfortunately Sunday was much too short and my one day off ended way too quickly. Tuesday will be a bitch of a busy day at work, but hey, I got to leave early today and nap myself into a drool state.
