Steph's Glass is Half Full

Optimistic (and often pessimistic) raves and rants about the many things that can go wrong with an old house, cats who leave me hairballs each day, a job I love but get burned out with and my wonderful husband who I at times, want to hiss at. Also included are my yays and nays about my travels into the world when performing necessary tasks such as grocery shopping, being thrown together with complete strangers, thrown together with strangers and their strangeness.

An Actual Weekend

I feel as if this weekend is a vacation because the clinic is closed Monday for the holiday and I have two days off.

I do have to go in Monday evening to walk the dogs, feed each pet and clean their kennels, but there are only six animals there. Animal care time is less than an hour. Actual time spent, maybe two or three hours to play with the dogs and cuddle the cats...the part of my job that I enjoy the most.

The broken finger is hurting like passing a kidney stone, often brings tears to my eyes and is still greatly swollen, but my joy over having two days off is so immense I'm walking on air and smiling about everything. I can sleep in the next two mornings without waking to an alarm clock. I'm in heaven and will enjoy snuggling deeper into bed when the sun rises.
