Steph's Glass is Half Full

Optimistic (and often pessimistic) raves and rants about the many things that can go wrong with an old house, cats who leave me hairballs each day, a job I love but get burned out with and my wonderful husband who I at times, want to hiss at. Also included are my yays and nays about my travels into the world when performing necessary tasks such as grocery shopping, being thrown together with complete strangers, thrown together with strangers and their strangeness.

Off Time Sucks

Find something good in my time off from work. I can't do anything physical, can't do much of anything, so five days off accomplishing nothing? What a waste of free time from work.

I guess a good thing is that I can catch up on the paperwork for my rescue's 501(c)3 application. I can study. I can take FEMA's tests for my Ndart status. Ndart: National Disaster Animal Rescue Team. I just received notice that my application was approved and I am now an Ndart member, but have to complete FEMA testing, human and animal CPR and vaccines.

The Rabies vaccines are finished, still in the process for Hepatitis. When I went to the Dr. today the nurse told me that my last hepatitis vaccine in November was done by a temp. who gave me only a half dose. So I received the other half today. It kind of hurt this time.

I also learned today that I have an ear infection. That explains my imbalance the past week. I thought it was from being tired or from the cold meds., but nope...ear infection. The good thing is that the antibiotics I'm taking now will knock it right out.

What I did today after returning from work was play games on the pc. I finished the one I bought Tuesday and am on the hunt for more. I'm into the hidden object games and am a member of big fish games where I can buy games for only $8 rather than the nonmember price of $20. Ravenhurst, Lottery Ticket, Abra Academy are just a few games that I have completed in the past weeks.

If anyone knows of others, let me know because I have tons of time in the next days. Sitting at the pc is a great way to follow Dr. orders of no exertion.
