Steph's Glass is Half Full

Optimistic (and often pessimistic) raves and rants about the many things that can go wrong with an old house, cats who leave me hairballs each day, a job I love but get burned out with and my wonderful husband who I at times, want to hiss at. Also included are my yays and nays about my travels into the world when performing necessary tasks such as grocery shopping, being thrown together with complete strangers, thrown together with strangers and their strangeness.

I Love DimSum

Lunch with Mom and Dad was absolutely delicious. Mom said we were going to a "hole-in-the-wall" small restaurant that served Dim Sum. My idea of hole in the wall is a very dark, dirty small spot. This restaurant was small, but very clean and very bright.

They did not have the cart of DimSum that is normally wheeled around for patrons to choose what they want. Instead, they had a menu. The Dim Sum you want is made fresh when you order it. My lunch was delicious. Of course my Dad ordered chicken feet and tendons and kept asking me to try those dishes. My answer was a "No, thank you".

I fixed Mom's aol glitch. Had to uninstall her current aol and reinstall. AOL sucks in many ways.

Then I made a trip to the clinic to talk over the work schedule with our office manager. When I pulled into the parking lot, Mabel's car was still there. She was due to end shift in fifteen minutes. I went to the treatment area before Mabel's end time and didn't see her anywhere. The Technician told me Mabel grabbed her purse, hollered goodbye and ran out the back door without clocking out. Do you all think Mabel is avoiding me after I gave her a discussion on work performance?

I am scheduled to work with Mabel this coming Monday. Should be an interesting day.

On a happier note: our grass is dead, but our newly made Japanese garden is doing well.
