Steph's Glass is Half Full

Optimistic (and often pessimistic) raves and rants about the many things that can go wrong with an old house, cats who leave me hairballs each day, a job I love but get burned out with and my wonderful husband who I at times, want to hiss at. Also included are my yays and nays about my travels into the world when performing necessary tasks such as grocery shopping, being thrown together with complete strangers, thrown together with strangers and their strangeness.

The Start of an End

I ended work Saturday shortly after 3PM and began a drastic change in my life. Starting this coming week, my work schedule is much different. I work only three days: Thursday-Saturday about 20 hours. YAY! The yahoo is for being able to finally spend more time at home rather than at work.

Four days off and all in a row! What a dream come true!

I will probably spend the first few weeks just being lazy. I hope to later use that time to do spring cleaning, spend more time with the cats, lose myself in arts and crafts, do my computer stuff during the day so I can spend evenings with my much loved husband and the two things I have dreamed of the past 18 months...relaxation and less stress.

I am actually in shock knowing I do not have to go to work until next Thursday. Four days off, wow! And it's every week. I like my job but criminies, after the past many many months of six days and 50-60hrs. each week, I am so grateful for the much reduced schedule. I was getting really burned out at work and at home.

Hey, I'm on part-time now. WOOHOO!
