Steph's Glass is Half Full

Optimistic (and often pessimistic) raves and rants about the many things that can go wrong with an old house, cats who leave me hairballs each day, a job I love but get burned out with and my wonderful husband who I at times, want to hiss at. Also included are my yays and nays about my travels into the world when performing necessary tasks such as grocery shopping, being thrown together with complete strangers, thrown together with strangers and their strangeness.

Not a Day Off

Today was my day off, but I was at work because we had a surgery scheduled that the new Assts. had no experience with. It was an "FHO" where the head of the femur bone is removed. The dog was Zelda, a very sweet lab mix whose owner accidentally ran her over when she darted under the tires of the truck.

The nicknames I gave the new Assts. are:

Gabby because she talks a lot and asks a lot of questions before taking a second to think.
Trickle because she moves slowly but gets the job done.

Gabby drives me crazy with her constant questions that would be unnecessary if she used common sense, but she has a good heart and is trying very hard to do a perfect job.

I'm very tired.
