Steph's Glass is Half Full

Optimistic (and often pessimistic) raves and rants about the many things that can go wrong with an old house, cats who leave me hairballs each day, a job I love but get burned out with and my wonderful husband who I at times, want to hiss at. Also included are my yays and nays about my travels into the world when performing necessary tasks such as grocery shopping, being thrown together with complete strangers, thrown together with strangers and their strangeness.

Knee Surgery

Marty's surgery is today, Thursday. He is having partial knee replacement, maybe full replacement depending on what the surgeon finds once the knee area is exposed.

The past two years Marty has been walking around bone on bone. He should have had surgery last year but didn't think it was necessary, was worried about never being able to fence again. Finally the pain brought him to his senses and he realized the knee wasn't going to heal by itself.

Fence? No, not the yard containment. http://www.tacomafencing.com/joomla/

Marty you'll be okay, Steph and you thought cats were hard patients.... He'll be so much happier to have it done. Ah to be a babyboomer with our aches and pains coming out, darn! Send us a list of what he needs and I recommend one of those grabber things from mom and dads. Lisa
